This presentation looks at the crises of global migration and refugees and asks the following questions:

  • Why does this crisis exist now?
  • What is the cause of the problem?
  • Can these crises be contained?

The current crises of global migration and refugees have major political undertones connecting them with both the civil conflicts in Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Iraq, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Mali, Colombia, Philippines, Afghanistan, Mozambique, Eritrea, and Burundi, as well as the economic and civil unrest in several other countries including South Africa, Ethiopia and Venezuela, etc.

The presentation closes with an analysis of the ethical and equitable implementation of economic policies as well as reviewing the social justice system as a way of stemming the global migration challenges and refugees crises. There will be time for further questions, debate and discussion.
